COLUMBIA, S.C. —The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 722 new confirmed cases and 20 new probable cases of COVID-19, 12 additional confirmed deaths and 1 new probable death.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 157,394, probable cases to 6,596, confirmed deaths to 3,439, and 211 probable deaths.

Two new cases of COVID-19 were reported today, bringing to 560 the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus.  
Humboldt County saw its first case of COVID-19 eight months ago yesterday. Living through any crisis for that length of time can have long-term impacts on mental and physical wellness, said Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich, who noted that addressing these impacts can be as important as virus prevention measures.

LINCOLN COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — There were some tense moments for people northwest of Harrisburg today — starting with a suspected car break-in.
Lincoln County’s Sheriff says someone called their neighbor when they noticed the neighbor’s car being broken into.
That person went outside and the suspect allegedly shot at the owner of the car before trying to run away.
Law enforcement eventually found the man in a slough and arrested him after a short standoff.
